But I got hooked on the first tune Cupid only misses sometimes. What a sweet sweet sound. Of course when you have one voice and a single acoustic guitar you are going to hear the crowd ... even on the soundboard. The ambient sound is like you are there, nice job. I'll have to pay more attention to Jack Johnson. thanks for the tape.

I live in SF and wish I could have been at the Greek for this show. It was before I was really into Jack and it's the show that got me into him. I downloaded it over two years ago and it's still in heavy rotation and I haven't found a lot of better recordings in terms of sound quality (especially for an outdoor performance that's not from the soundboard), set quality, crowd chatter, etc. The percussions are fantastic and Jack's Taj Mahal cover gets no better.

well i downloaded it due to the previous review that claimed it was a superb recording. far from it. the audience is constantly audible like a babbling brook, jj is weak and this i found this show to be a dissapointment after downloading it.... sorry. i've heard better

Yeah, where do I begin. Ah, this is one of the best recorded Jack shows that I have ever heard, the sound quality is amazing and you couldn't ask for any better. This was also an amazing set, with jack pulling out the Taj Mahal song "Further On Down The Road" with Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On" mixed into the song. Also a new verse mixed into "The News" which is amazing, a must have. Jack also plays "Nightmares", "Last Thoughts On Woody Guthrey (Slammin' & Bangin)>"Stones in my passway">"Fallin' Up">"Who Do You Love?", "Poor Taylor" and he also plays a unique version of "Rodeo Clowns" with Garrett where they switch off singing. Even though "Rocky Racoon was not played this is still one of the best Jack shows I have. PEACE...

The 10/18/02 concert at the Greek in Berkeley was my first Jack concert and will always be the most memorable. The show was great and the few songs with G. Love were awesome. As for sound quality, Alex Coluzzi did a really good recording and did a great job of spreading this show. When I first played this show I couldn't help from smiling. Looking forward to seeing Jack again on his next tour...everyone take care
